The galvanic separation unit GSI127 is is designed for operation with the signal conditioners, charge amplifiers and electronics (attached or integrated) used by measurement chains and/or sensors. GSI127 present in 2-wire transmission systems intended for Ex applications (use in potentially explosive atmospheres).
It is used to supply power to the signal conditioner. It also reads the signal coming from the signal conditioner and outputs a voltage-based signal proportional to the current delivered by the charge converter. This voltage signal can be used directly by the electronic monitoring system.
